During that time, she has guided the school through the CAEP accreditation process. Her work has focused on fostering student success and strengthening community engagement.

Professor Laura Conner appointed Â鶹´«Ã½F's interim vice chancellor for research

In addition to her research faculty position, Conner currently serves as associate director of the Â鶹´«Ã½F Geophysical Institute. She has a doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Arizona. Her work since earning her doctorate in 2007 has focused on education research, including science identity and interdisciplinary learning at the boundary of art and science. She will start her new position on Jan. 12.
