ACEP receives federal energy grant for hydrokinetic research

The Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Fairbanks' Alaska Center for Energy and Power (ACEP) has been named as a recipient of a major grant from the United States Department of Energy through its Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy's Submarine Hydrokinetic And Riverine Kilo-megawatt Systems (SHARKS) program.

Governor uses emergency notification system to share COVID-19 message

At approximately 10 a.m. on Nov. 12 phones throughout Alaska received an official State of Alaska emergency SMS text message stating that COVID-19 cases are escalating and directing individuals to a video of Gov. Mike Dunleavy calling for Alaskans to work together to reduce infections over the next three weeks.

The university is recruiting 12-15 individuals to serve part-time as university-appointed Title IX advisors. This is a new position which entails serving in an advisory role for complainants and respondents participating in Title IX hearings.
