Kerynn Fisher has been appointed the executive officer for the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Board of Regents. This position is responsible for serving as the primary liaison between the board, university administration, governmental entities, and the public. The executive officer also plays a crucial role in interpreting and understanding regents' policies, university regulations, and Alaska statutes.
Fisher has served as special assistant to Âé¶¹´«Ã½ President Pat Pitney since October 2020. Prior to 2020, she served as grant coordinator for the Fairbanks North Star Borough. Fisher also worked at Âé¶¹´«Ã½F for more than 20 years, serving in positions with the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services, the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Museum of the North, and KÂé¶¹´«Ã½C. Fisher has served on the FNSB Planning Commission since 2020.
